CASA RICH invited guests to step inside the world of RICH MNISI for a singular experience of the designer’s creative vision. Hosted by Southern Guild, RICH MNISI and BMW South Africa, this one-night-only gathering celebrated the power of bold collaboration.


Courage, the designer reminded us, comes from inside. “The most daring thing is honesty and the most compelling stories are those that we have lived,” he told the group. Currently at work on his next collection of sculptural furniture, Rich shared his design process and offered insights into his upcoming solo exhibition – opening at Southern Guild on 3 February, 2024.

Guests climbed inside the new BMW XM and enjoyed award-winning Cavalli wines with dinner. A vivid experience all round, and a reminder that fearless authenticity paves the way to greatness.

 

RICH MNISI is a contemporary, multi-disciplinary brand based in Johannesburg, South Africa, founded by Rich Mnisi in 2015. Initially a creative outlet for Mnisi, who hoped to unearth Africa’s hidden treasures and pass them through his uniquely modern lens, the brand was born from his yearning to build a deeper connection with his Tsonga culture and heritage and tell a compelling story through his art.
